Strange Reminders

Fresh flowers, fake flowers, plastic toys, old pictures, and all sorts of items remain untouched for years and years on cemetery graves. How much can we know about the person buried under by just looking at these items? Have they been forgotten? Or are they still being missed?

These postcards are a visual collection of such objects, all taken at Brooklyn's Green-Wood cemetery, where around 600,000 bodies are buried.
