For 6 months, a wrecked car was stranded outside a police station in Brooklyn, NY. Motivated by both concern and curiosity, I decided to find out the story behind those remnants. I immersed myself in a search for answers that revealed a series of strange connections between the car’s surrounding neighborhood, the social dynamics of the city and the life and death of the person behind the wheel. The investigation became an attempt to find meaning and make a cohesive story out of an accumulation of seemingly disconnected objects and events. 

A mixed media installation featuring the materials of this investigation was exhibited at Photoville in 2019.
